Hi! I’m Sigal Rak Viente (Sigaluna)
I'm an illustrator and graphic artist based in Ra'anana, Israel.
I create minimalist illustrations—each one built around a concept, drawn with care, and a light touch. I hope you enjoy them :)
From my home studio, I design and print everything locally in Israel. In addition to illustration, I’m also a graphic designer and a UX designer, and you might notice how sometimes my work crosses the line between design and illustration. My goal is always to keep things clean and simple—sometimes even emotional or surprising.
A bit about my background:
*Digital Illustration studies at Bezalel Academy
*UX Design studies at Create TLV
* Graduated with honors in Graphic Design from Studio 6B, Tel Aviv
*B.A. in Communication & Management from the College of Management, Tel Aviv
Thanks so much for stopping by :)
My Creative Process
Sometimes my process starts with a visual idea, and other times with a line of text. That combination is why each illustration has a title—words and visuals go hand in hand.
I work in black and white because I feel it lets me express ideas in a clean, clear, and focused way. Minimal lines help me say more with less. Over time, black and white has become my visual language.
I usually begin with a pencil sketch on paper, then move to digital tools—illustrating in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
And the first feedback? That always comes from Johnny, my studio partner :)

Activism
In 2020, I began creating politically engaged illustrations.
Through my art, I try to spark thought, inspire change, and encourage social awareness.
I continue to take part in the call to bring back the hostages and to protect democracy in Israel.
Since October 7, I’ve also been volunteering by illustrating portraits of Nova victims and evacuees.
The photo here is from a 2020 protest at Balfour Square. I'm wearing a shirt with one of my own illustrations—“Save Democracy”—and holding a sign I drew that says “Don’t Stop at Red.”
You're warmly invited to follow my work and join the conversation online.
